Details: Oleg Kryuchkov, a Russian-controlled adviser to the Russian “head of Crimea”, said 498,000 people in Crimea have been left without electricity due to the extreme weather, citing data from the Russian company Krymenergo.

“The worst-affected areas of the peninsula are Chornomorsk, Saky, Bilohirsk, Simferopol, Zhovtneve, Bakhchysarai and Lenine,” Kryuchkov wrote on his Telegram channel.

Kryuchkov also reported on other consequences of the storm. He said traffic restrictions were in place in the Saky district between the villages of Mytiaieve and Trudove due to an overhead power line pole falling onto the road. This has been confirmed by videos posted on Russian and Crimean Telegram channels.

In addition, Natalia Pisareva, the Russian-appointed “head of the Chornomorsk district”, wrote on her Telegram channel that the district has been left without water or heating.

The occupation authorities of Crimea, as well as Russian and Crimean Telegram channels, say the Saky-Yevpatoriia road is completely blocked due to the bad weather. Kryuchkov said that 150 people have been evacuated from their homes in Yevpatoriia.

Furthermore, according to Kryuchkov, 40 houses in the village of Heroivske have been blocked due to the storm.
