The Mira Bhayandar Anti-Human Trafficking Cell rescued four girls and arrested two agents on Saturday, who were allegedly operating a sex racket.

The accused, Soloman Rathanamayya Narkantholallu, 55, a film producer from Madh Marve at Malad West, and Michael David Mutipoggu, alias Chandrakant, 22, a casting director, were casting girls for web series, films, serials, and photo shoots, and later forcing them into a prostitution racket. Their modus operandi involved Narkantholallu conducting interviews with the girls and keeping them in lodges across Mira Bhayandar, Gorai, Thane, Lonavala, and Daman.

According to police officials, on February 2, the Mira Bhayandar Anti-Human Trafficking Cell received a tip-off about Narkantholallu’s activities. The police sent an undercover officer posing as a customer to the Golden Nest Area in Mira Road, where Narkantholallu and his partner Mutipoggu were found with four girls at a hotel.

The accused demanded a commission of Rs 40,000 per girl. The police successfully rescued all four girls during the operation. In this matter, the Mira Bhayandar Anti Human trafficking Cell registered an FIR at Navghar police under sections 370 (2) (3) and 34 of the IPC and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act 1956 under section 4&5.
