If Rahul has violated security cordones 113 times, PM Modi too has breached security: Patole | India News

NAGPUR: Maharashtra state Congress president Nana Patole on Thursday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi too violates security guidelines during his public meetings and rallies. Talking about the reduction of security cover to Rahul Gandhi during his ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra, Patole asked whether CRPF has reduced the security cover of the PM.
He said this while reacting to security lapses during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra on which Congress neta K C Venugopal has written a letter to Union home minister Amit Shah to complain about the security lapse.
According to CRPF Rahul Gandhi has broken the security cordon 113 times. And the central security system says that their security is decreasing due to this. “But, PM Modi quite often also breach security,” said Patole, adding that PM’s cover too should be reduced.
Citing examples, Patole pointed out that the country had already lost two PMs — Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi — in terror attacks. So it should not take security of PM Modi lightly.
“The Gandhi family has always been targeted by the BJP, be it Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi. The BJP accuses the Congress and the Gandhi family of undermining or neglecting their security,” he said.
For the last 9 years, Modi has not been showing the right picture when he talks about inflation, unemployment and industry, according to Patole. “He is deceiving the country,” he added.
Patole accused the state government of trying to blackmail government employees, officials and opponents.
He wondered how the government has sops for industrialists, while it has no money for the pension of employees. Patole also said that if the Speaker does not allow the Opposition to raise questions, the opposition may be forced to bring a no-confidence motion against him.
