On the occasion of inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, chief minister Eknath Shinde has organised a grand rally in Mumbai on Monday evening. The rally will be begin at 5 pm from Ganesh Udyan Mandir, Shivaji Park to Bhoiwada Ram Mandir.
Maharashtra CM was invited to the Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony at Ayodhya and he had also accepted the invitation. However, Eknath Shinde on Monday chose to skip the ceremony at Ayodhya and attend several function marking the Ram Mandir inauguration in Mumbai and Thane.

Soon after the Pran Pratistha of Lord Ram was completed at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, CM Eknath Shinde plays `Dhol` at the Kopineshwar temple in Thane to celebrate the event.
Shinde said he plans to take his cabinet as well as MLAs and Lok Sabha MPs from the state for ‘darshan’ to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya later and, hence, was not attending the idol consecration ceremony on January 22.

About the rally in Mumbai, Shinde said that as the dream late Balasaheb Thackeray of Ram Mandir is being fulfilled today, the procession will begin by paying homage to the memorial site of Balasaheb Thackeray. After that he will visit statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Shivaji Park before heading to Ganesh Udyan Mandir.
After this the rally will proceed to Sena Bhawan, Tilak Bridge, Khodadad Circle, Sarada Talkies and Naigaon B.D.D. Chawl before ending at Bhoiwada Ram Temple.
