21 years after launch, KCR to turn TRS into national party today | India News


HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi will take its first step towards becoming a national party on Wednesday, 21 years after it was launched to demand a separate state, reports Koride Mahesh.
TRS supremo and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch Bharat Rashtra Samithi at exactly 1. 19pm after party state executive members and other elected representatives pass a resolution to merge TRS into the new party. The resolution would then be sent to the Election Commission either onThursday or Friday, sources said.
JD(S) member and Karnataka exCM HD Kumaraswamy, a long with 20 of his MLAs, will attend the event at the TRS headquarters. Select farmer union lea ders from UP, Punjab, and Haryana, and Dalit leaders from other states, including TN, were also invited for the event. Invites were also sent to RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, Jh arkhand CM Hemant Soren, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, and NCP chief Sharad Pawar, but there is no confirmation on their presence till Tuesday night.
